CMH Surgical Services Department offers a combination of dedicated, highly skilled professionals using state-of-the-art equipment and the convenience of being close to home. Our Board Certified Physicians are skilled at both minimally invasive and traditional surgical procedures. With operating suites, a Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) and the Special Procedures Unit, we can accommodate most types of surgery, including:

• General surgeries
• OB/GYN surgery
• Ophthalmology surgery
• Ear, nose, and throat surgery
• Orthopedic surgery including arthroscopy and total joints replacement
• Podiatry surgery
• Urology surgery and minor procedures
• Vascular surgery

Special Procedures:

• Colonoscopy
• Gastroscopy
• ERCP procedures
• Liver biopsy
• Paracentesis
• Minor surgeries with local anesthesia
• Sigmoidoscopy
• Esophagoscopy
• Bone Marrow aspirations

Other outpatient procedures:

• Steroidepidurals
• Pain Management procedures
• Cardiac Catheterizations – performed every Wednesday in the mobile cath lab contracted through Duke University Health System with MCV Cardiologists performing the catheterizations.
